For its fall 2022 season, Denver Fashion Week is being hosted at an iconic venue right in the heart of downtown. The Sports Castle, a Non Plus Ultra venue, is a four-story building with an Art Deco-inspired façade, original stained glass accent windows and turn-of-the-century interior details. DFW is thrilled to bring its internationally-recognized fashion show experience to life in this unique and memorable space.
“Non Plus Ultra is delighted to sponsor Denver Fashion Week,” Maggie Glass, sales manager of Non Plus Ultra, said. “We strive to provide unique and often iconic spaces to cultural trailblazers. As DFW continues to be a forerunner in presenting emerging fashion designers, we’re proud and excited to collaborate and host one of Denver’s seminal events.”
Non Plus Ultra entered the Denver market last year managing properties for public events, private events and exhibitions. The company took over several iconic properties — the former Denver Post Printing Plant, The Broadway and The Brighton — along with Sports Castle. Non Plus Ultra seeks to connect the public to historic properties and transformative development projects, building community engagement and supporting the surrounding neighborhood’s economy.
Located at the intersection of Broadway and 10th, The Sports Castle underwent renovations to preserve its original Art-Deco design, complete with stained-glass windows. Originally built in the 1920s as a Chrysler auto showroom, Gart Properties bought the building in 1970 and turned it into The Sports Castle that Denver residents know and love today. Even 50 years later, it still elicits an eccentric, quirky vibe.
DFW is Colorado’s all-inclusive and largest fashion event, and it returns for another season Nov. 12-20. Produced by 303 Magazine, the event celebrates local, national and international fashion while elevating the economic development of the Denver fashion industry. Guests can expect an entirely new runway experience this year as they enter The Sports Castle.
